All clubs are fully inclusive for all children unless otherwise stated

Monday

Netball (KS2 Girls Only) -  We cover everything in netball including fun games intended to learn new skills and the rules they need to know to play proper games. For year 5 and 6 there is the chance for them to represent the school as we hope to arrange and take part in multiple tournaments throughout the year. For year 3 and 4 there is the great opportunity to get active, learn something new and fall in love with a new sport.

Clay - Clay club is a chance for your child to get creative and get messy! Each week we follow a different theme and try to sculpt and mold our clay as best we can. After the clay has dried it can either be taken home or left at school to paint and prettify the week after.

Tuesday

KS1 Football (KS1 Only)- We are expecting football to a highly popular club at St Mary's! For KS1 children we have a football club just for them. This ensures they will get the most out of the club with their own skill development, learning and fun! As well as developing our control and knowldge of the game children will take part in lots of games.

Arts and Crafts - The arts and crafts club includes everything from painting and drawing to collage and mosaic making. Often throughout the year we contribute and make displays for the schools big events such as remembrance day, Easter and of course sports day. This club has something for every child to unleash their creative side.

Wednesday

Gymnastics - Gymnastics is a sport that contains all the essential elements of physical literacy and is an excellent asset in a childs physical development. It is also highly popular at St Mary's with boys and girls of all ages coming along and really enjoying themselves. We cover a whole range of gymnastics aspects from individual skills to group performances. We always try and use as much equipment and apparatus as possible to keep the sessions fun, exciting and different each week.

Cooking - Not only is cooking an essential life skill, it is also great fun! We like to focus on making delicious recipes that are easy and enjoyable to make! From baking, to frozen recipes we try our best to make all recipes inclusive for everyone. However, if you have any allergies please make sure to let us know!

Thursday

Dodgeball and Benchball Club - We are putting on a dodgeball and benchball club at St Mary's. We will be playing both sports seperately and also combining them to make the ultimate super sport! Fast and full of action, these 2 sports incorporate a range of transferable skills and are great for developing a childs physical abilities.

Drama - Drama is a great way of expressing yourself and developing physical creativity. We have a massive range of engaging and collaborative drama games ready for the children to explore. We will look at fun silly games to explore our creative side and also look at scripts and acting out scenes.

Friday

KS2 Football (KS2 Only) - In this session we are looking to develop the core skills of football as well as looking at some more advanced skills and tactics for the older children. Of course, we will be playing lots of games as well! For year 5 and 6 there is the opportunity to represent the school football team in various tournaments we will arrange and enter throughout the year.

Games Club - Children need to have their mental capacity stretched and developed and games club is the perfect opportunity for this. Classic board games such chess, connect 4 and giant jenga allow children to develop their planning and strategy skills and get them thinking quickly while in a fun and interactive environment.
