Monday

KS1 Gymnastics - Gymnastics is a sport that contains all the essential elements of physical literacy and is an excellent asset in a childs physical development. We cover a whole range of gymnastics aspects from the basics to individual skills to group performances. We always try and use as much equipment and apparatus as possible to keep the sessions fun, exciting and different each week.

Clay - Clay club is a chance for your child to get creative and get messy! Each week we follow a different theme and try to sculpt and mold our clay as best we can. After the clay has dried it can either be taken home or left at school to paint and prettify the week after.

Tuesday

Basketball - A hugely popular sport all over the world and we're bringing it to Meridian Primary School! Basketball was voted in by the school council as one of their favourite sports and were really excited to see it on the timetable. This is a sport full of high paced action, teamwork and of course a time for individual flair.

Cooking - Not only is cooking an essential life skill, it is also great fun for all ages! We try and keep the recipes we use as healthy as possible while making sure the food is also delicious and fun to make. We work in a nut free school and we try our best to cater to all major allergies so please let us know in advance of any allergies your children may have.

Wednesday

Football -  Football is the most popular sport in the world and is clearly loved by the children at Meridian as it was voted as the schools most popular sport!  This club is fully inclusive for all children with something for everyone. We look at different aspects of skill development such as passing, dribbling and shooting but we always include lots of gameplay!

Dance - Dance is a great way for children to express themselves, have fun and stay fit and healthy at the same time! This club is great for all children and we will aim to cater for dancers of every ability level. Each term there will be a brand new Dance and at the end of each term we will be aiming to put on a show for the parents and the rest of the children.

Arts and Crafts - We know children like to get creative and messy! The arts and crafts club includes everything from craft design to painting to jewellery to paper craft and we try to make it as varied as possible. Often throughout the year we will contribute and make displays for the schools big events such as remembrance day, Easter and of course sports day. This club has something for every child to unleash their creative side.
